As excitement builds towards UFC London this weekend, ESPN has launched an online fantasy game, ESPN Fantasy Fighter, to accompany its live televised coverage of the Ultimate Fighting Championship in the UK and Republic of Ireland.
Available at ESPN.co.uk/fantasyfighter, the game challenges players to test their UFC knowledge by assembling a team of the fighters they think will perform best in upcoming UFC events. Available free at ESPN.co.uk, the game offers prizes for the highest points scorers*. The format is similar to other fantasy contests, with fighters awarded points based on their performances in the Octagon. The game runs over four periods in 2013 and prizes are structured so that entrants can win based on their team’s performance during each period, and, during each UFC event. In addition, a grand prize will be awarded to the player with the highest points total after all four game segments are complete in December. Prizes include vouchers for UFC apparel, training gloves and UFC DVDs.
