2.1 Million Viewers Watch Flyers-Bruins Game 7 on TSN

Toronto, ON (May 17, 2010) – Friday’s historic Game 7 victory by the Philadelphia Flyers over the Boston Bruins was watched by an average audience of 2.1 million viewers on TSN according to overnight data from BBM Canada. Audience levels peaked at 3.95 million viewers in the final minutes of the third period as Philadelphia scored in their fourth goal in the third period to complete the remarkable series comeback.

TSN’s audience for the game was the highest audience ever recorded for an NHL game on TSN not involving a Canadian team. It was also the most-watched program on Canadian television on Friday in all key advertising demographics.

Overall, TSN’s coverage of the second round of the 2010 Stanley Cup Playoffs attracted an average audience of 1.1 million viewers – 61% higher than the Round Two average audiences recorded on TSN in 2009 (681,000). *  

TSN’s average audience for each of its first round playoff series is as follows:

Philadelphia-Boston (7 games on TSN) – 1.129 million

San Jose-Detroit (5 games on TSN) – 1.05 million

NHL Playoffs on TSN Conference Semifinal Coverage Features Boston vs. Philadelphia and San Jose vs. Detroit Series

Toronto, ON (April 28, 2010) – TSN will have live coverage of both the Boston-Philadelphia series and the San Jose-Detroit series as the network today announced its complete broadcast schedule for the Second Round of the 2010 STANLEY CUP® PLAYOFFS All games on TSN are available in High Definition and on-demand at TSN.ca.

TSN’s coverage of the 2010 STANLEY CUP® PLAYOFFS continues tomorrow (Thursday, April 29) with Game 1: Detroit @ San Jose at 8:30 p.m. ET. TSN’s coverage of the Boston-Philadelphia series begins on Saturday, May 1 at 12 noon ET (see complete broadcast schedule below).

4.7 Million Viewers Watch Canadiens-Capitals Game 7 on TSN and RDS

Toronto, ON (April 29, 2010) – Last night’s dramatic Game 7 victory by the Montreal Canadiens over the Washington Capitals was watched by an average audience of 4.7 million viewers on TSN and RDS combined according to overnight data from BBM Canada. Audience levels peaked at 8.2 million viewers (TSN and RDS combined) in the final minutes of the third period as Montreal held on to upset Washington and win the series.
