4.7 Million Viewers Watch Canadiens-Capitals Game 7 on TSN and RDS

Toronto, ON (April 29, 2010) – Last night’s dramatic Game 7 victory by the Montreal Canadiens over the Washington Capitals was watched by an average audience of 4.7 million viewers on TSN and RDS combined according to overnight data from BBM Canada. Audience levels peaked at 8.2 million viewers (TSN and RDS combined) in the final minutes of the third period as Montreal held on to upset Washington and win the series.

Canadiens-Caps Thriller is watched by 3.4 Million on TSN and RDS

Toronto, ON (April 19, 2010) – Canada loves watching the Canadiens. Overnight data from BBM Canada confirms that a combined average audience of 3.4 million viewers watched TSN (2.1 Million) and RDS (1.3 million) on Saturday night to see the Washington Capitals come from behind to tie the game and defeat Montreal in overtime.

Toronto, ON (February 8, 2009)SUPER BOWL XLIV is the most-watched SUPER BOWL ever with a record audience of 6.7 million viewers in Canada on CTV (6.025 million) and RDS (650,000) last night. Preliminary overnight data from BBM Canada confirms that the New Orleans Saints’ 31-17 victory over the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday is the second biggest audience for any broadcast on Canadian television since 1994.* Overall, an astonishing 16.64 million viewers – or one in two Canadians – tuned in to some or all of the broadcast on CTV or RDS.   Read more…
