Canadiens-Caps Thriller is watched by 3.4 Million on TSN and RDS

Toronto, ON (April 19, 2010) – Canada loves watching the Canadiens. Overnight data from BBM Canada confirms that a combined average audience of 3.4 million viewers watched TSN (2.1 Million) and RDS (1.3 million) on Saturday night to see the Washington Capitals come from behind to tie the game and defeat Montreal in overtime.

NHL Playoffs on TSN and TSN2:First Round Coverage Features Four Key Series

 

Toronto, ON (April 11, 2010) -

All games on TSN and TSN2 are available in High Definition and on-demand at TSN.ca.

TSN’s coverage of the 2010 STANLEY CUP® PLAYOFFS gets underway on Wednesday, April 14 – opening night of the NHL Playoffs – with followed by Detroit @ Phoenix at 10 p.m. ET (see TSN and TSN2 NHL Playoffs Broadcast Schedule below).

TSN drops the puck on the heavily-anticipated Montreal/Washington series on Thursday, April 15 at 7 p.m. ET. TSN and TSN2’s live coverage of the 2010 STANLEY CUP® PLAYOFFS runs throughout the first three rounds.

The networks’ extensive coverage of the NHL post-season features veteran play-by-play announcers Gord Miller and Chris Cuthbert and game analysts Pierre McGuire and Ray Ferraro.

NHL ON TSN host James Duthie is in the TSN studio for pre-game shows and intermissions, alongside Hockey Insiders Bob McKenzie and Darren Dreger, and analysts Darren Pang and Craig MacTavish. Hockey commentator Dave Hodge also returns with playoff editions of HodgeMail.

TSN’s flagship sports news program SPORTSCENTRE will cover every playoff series with highlights and news, reports from correspondents with each of the Canadian teams in the playoffs, and in-depth analysis from TSN’s hockey experts. 2010 LG NHL DRAFT LOTTERY Headlines TSN’s Playoff Preview Coverage, Live April 13

Toronto, ON (April 7, 2010) – One lucky NHL team is going to score the evening’s biggest prize – the #1 overall pick in the 2010 NHL ENTRY DRAFT – when NHL Deputy Commissioner Bill Daly reveals the draft order on the LG NHL DRAFT LOTTERY, live Tuesday, April 13 at 8 p.m. ET, exclusively on TSN.  Daly joins host James Duthie and Hockey Insider Bob McKenzie in studio for the 30-minute TSN original production, which also features in-studio representatives from each of the five NHL teams eligible to win the #1 overall pick.  This year’s draft lottery marks the first time in more than a decade that a Canadian team – the Edmonton Oilers – has the greatest probability of picking #1 overall in the NHL Entry Draft.
