World Juniors Thriller Delivers an All-Time Audience Record of 5.3 Million Viewers for TSN

Toronto, ON (January 6, 2009) – It was an epic game with an epic audience to match.  Last night’s thrilling IIHF World Junior Championship gold medal game made television history for TSN. Preliminary overnight data from BBM Canada confirms that TSN’s average audience for the game was an outstanding 5.3 million viewers – an all-time record for the network and the largest audience recorded on Canadian television since 2005*. It is the sixth largest audience for any broadcast on Canadian television in records that date back to 1994.

TSN2’s World Juniors Audience Sets a New Benchmark for Digital Television

Toronto, ON (January 5, 2010) – Not only was Sunday another huge day for the IIHF World Junior Championship on TSN, it was a landmark day for TSN2 and digital television in Canada.  While TSN’s broadcast of the Canada-Switzerland semifinal attracted an average audience of 3.2 million viewers and was the most-watched program overall on Canadian television according to BBM Canada, TSN2 continued to set new benchmarks for audiences on a digital channel.
