TSN’s Scotties Final is the Most-Watched Ever
- A Record 1.2 million viewers tune into TSN for the Final on Sunday -
Toronto, ON (February 9, 2010) – It was a sweep for TSN with Sunday’s SCOTTIES TOURNAMENT OF HEARTS Final delivering the highest television audience ever recorded in the tournament’s history*. Preliminary overnight data from BBM Canada confirms an average audience of 1.2 million viewers watched Team Canada’s Jennifer Jones win her fourth Scotties title in a dramatic final against the impressive young team from Prince Edward Island.
Last year’s final attracted an audience of 928,000 viewers.
Overall audiences for 2010 SCOTTIES TOURNAMENT OF HEARTS on TSN averaged 508,000 viewers, a 27% increase compared to last year’s average. TSN delivered 70 hours of Scotties coverage live from Sault Ste. Marie, ON this year.
