NEW MLB SEASON TO AIR EXCLUSIVELY LIVE ON ESPN

The highly anticipated start to the new Major League Baseball season is about to begin and ESPN will broadcast the action live. Opening day is a special event in American sport and this year the reigning World Series champions, the New York Yankees, start their campaign with a visit to arch-rivals, the Boston Red Sox. Watch the action live and exclusive as the season commences this weekend with the opening match at 2:00am on Monday 5 April 2010 on ESPN.
ESPN’ coverage will continue live throughout the season and will include the mid-season All Star game, plus exclusive action from the Playoffs and World Series.
Last season, the New York Yankees dominated the American League and finished with an impressive 103 wins on their route to clinching the World Series title. Their competition this season is again led by title-contenders Los Angeles Dodgers, Philadelphia Phillies, Boston Red Sox and Los Angeles Angels.
