NFL SEASON KICKS OFF ON ESPN
ESPN’s live coverage of the National Football League (NFL) season kicks off on 11 September with a prime match-up as the defending champions, the Pittsburgh Steelers, open the season in what promises to be a tough game against the Tennessee Titans. The Steelers, one of the strongest teams on defense in the NFL, have a record-breaking six Super Bowl victories to their credit, two of which were achieved in the last four years.
Four days later star quarterback and 2007 MVP, Tom Brady, who had to sit out the whole of the last season with a knee injury, will be keen to show he is still one of the best in the league as his team, the New England Patriots, take on the Buffalo Bills on 15 September. The Patriots will be hoping to challenge for the title again this year.
Later in September another elite quarterback, three-time league MVP Peyton Manning, will be leading his Indianapolis Colts against the Miami Dolphins and also against last year’s Super Bowl runners-up, the Arizona Cardinals.
All games (apart from the first one) air LIVE and EXCLUSIVE on ESPN and most of them have viewer-friendly re-airs in the afternoon of the same day.
Watch all the NFL action LIVE, only on ESPN on DStv channel 230.
